A LAGONDA. A FREAKING LAGONDA.
I didn’t expect to ever see one in person. It’s ever bit as boxy and low and long and glorious as you’d expect.
Definitely in need of some love. Had a UK plate on the back so I doubt it’s ever been registered in this country
Looks to be a series 2 from the dash. Driver’s side window wasn’t open unfortunately.
Holden Silverado..
Number plate was nice
This was cool. Belgian built and delivered Volvo 740 Turbo. Exported to Japan where it was barely used for 15 years before being brought to Australia.
It only has 30000 km on it (18.6k mi) and it was pristine.
it’s true :(
Unpopular opinion: I’ve always loved how first gen Cayennes look

The Canadians can usually spot one another, Do you know if they were Aussie-built? I’m familiar with Aussie Pontiacs, Which were cousins to the Odd Canadian models.

Apparently so. They were built in South Australia alongside domestic market Chryslers

10/10 would daily the Lagonda. At least until it broke down, which would probably be one day after the first day of daily driving. But man! What a glorious first day it would be.

I think it’s a pretty bold assumption that it’s running

That Silverado might be the laziest rebadge I’ve ever seen.

I wonder why the Volvo has a flag pole attachment on it’s front corner. Former embassy car? The wing doesn’t make sense if it was an embassy car though.

“I drove it. Runs beautifully.” - one of the staff

Oh wow I didn’t even consider what that was. Now I’m interested.

Looks like a notifier to show you where the front corner of the car is for right hand driving.

Possible but why would a Belgian buy and use a RHD car in LHD country? Maybe he travels to UK often. After its export to Japan for 15 years it would have been removed since Japan is RHD country.

Is there a bulk buy discount? Because I want the Holden Silverado, the red P/U, the RX7, the black Defender, and a Holden Monaro (HQ) GTS 350 Coupe

in the vast flats of Saskatchewan I find old Fargos, Mercury and Maple leaf trucks more than once a month.

I love the Jet age 67 ‘Strayan Pontiac with the 61 rocket age dash.

Were the Ponchos Parisiennes or Laurentians, or just “pontiac” in right hooker chevy-powered canuck spec? (probably without the awesome heater though?)

I missed this post! Lagonda in Australia!? Where at?

And no one cared! NO ONE CARED!! People walked past me flipping out to look at a fucking VF HSV!
It was at Lloyd’s Auctions in Carrara. It’s such a treasure trove of unique cars and I’ll happily put up with stares by disinterested staff every few weeks for it.

Yeah that’s incredible. Even if you don’t know it, the thing looks insane
